India’s history is closely tied to its location. Because it is between the East and the West, it has been invaded and overtaken multiple times. Each culture that came to India made a lasting contribution in some way.

A Look at India’s Increasing Divorce Rate

Most people are aware that about 50% of all marriages end in divorce in America. This translates to half of all couples. This is even though Christianity doesn’t condone divorce. Christians aren’t the only ones being affected though. The whole world is being affected by this phenomenon.

Doctors have made an effort to study India’s Hindu culture and the effects of divorce. Until 1955, marriage was forbidden in the culture. This act, as well as subsequent laws, have made it easier for couples to divorce in cases of bigamy, adultery, and cruelty as well as by mutual consent. The divorce rate has risen to 2% after this law was passed.

These researchers had to use a variety of statistics in an effort to study the effects of divorce on women. They found that the majority of all divorces, about 95%, occurred amongst people younger than 35. One of the main beliefs is that younger people don’t feel the same about ancient traditions as their older counterparts. It was also learned that those with higher education were more likely to divorce than those who had not attended college. As far as the suggestions presented by this evidence, researchers were hesitant to draw any concrete conclusions.

One of the other factors that played a role in the Indian divorce rate was occupation. Those who are in professions that take them out of the home and into contact with persons of the opposite sex are more likely to divorce. Male family members typically prohibit females from joining the workforce though. Lack of jobs and income often means that women who might be inclined to divorce cannot afford to do so. Divorce is more prevalent in the affluent Brahmin caste than in any other.

Unlike marriages in the United States, 73% of Indian marriages are arranged by members of the couple’s families. In India, courtships is something that isn’t even considered. Mates are chosed by family members based on many different criteria. Most people who end up getting married have little contact before the nuptials. Many Americans make the mistake of going into the marriage expecting too much. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds

Excerpt: The banknotes of Hyderabad were issued from 1918 until 1953. The ruling Nizam of Hyderabad was Mir Osman Ali Khan . Notes issued as early as 1916 have been reported. Hyderabad was the only Indian Princely State that was permitted to continue issuing its own notes after being united into the Dominion of India in 1948 and the Republic of India in 1950. The Hyderabadi rupee was an independent currency separate from the Indian rupee .The notes are dated in the Fasli Era, so adding 589 to the FE date will convert it to the AD date.In 1932, a quantity of unissued, but water stained Hyderabadi notes in 5, 10, and 100 rupee denominations were recovered from the S.S. Egypt , which sank off the island of Ushant near Brest , northern France in 1922. Many of these were given a special stamping and sold as souvenirs. These notes were in the process of being shipped from England where they had been printed. These notes are of historic interest to notaphilists . Some of the notes are printed slightly later than the dates that they bear. The doble letter serial number prefix determines what series the note is located in. Some of the 1939-53 issues have a single serial number prefix series code letter.Signature chart The signature also provides a clue to the approximate period when a note was issued. It is not yet certain what titles the signatories held (in English), as the inscriptions are in Urdu .Sir Reginald R. Clancy (1918-19).Fakhr-ud-Din Ahmad
