Taking A Good Look At PTC (Pay To Click) Websites

Today, lots of folks who wish to get an internet business going are starting out with PTCs – Pay to Click sites. I’m one of those people.

Let me explain what a Pay-to-Click site is for folks who are not aware what it is. A Pay-to-Click website pays you some money for merely viewing a short advert, normally lasting around thirty seconds or so. Everytime you watch an entire advert (they normally last about half a minute), a little cash is put into your PTC account, which can only be taken out when you’ve accumulated a specific sum of money, oftentimes in the $5 range. Also, PTC sites oftentimes have a few extra options for people who become members, and most all offer referral bonuses.

You can pay for referrals (or you can get them to sign up), and you get roughly 50% of how much they generate from clicking adverts. Simply Put, if you get paid a penny for watching an an advert, you’ll also take in half a penny whenever each one of your referrals does the same. It doesn’t appears like it’s worth much but it can add up if you get thousands of people signing up under you. There are likewise special membership options that allow you to generate more referrals, more adverts and more cash for each click (usually for both your own clicks and your referrals’ clicks). Even though you might earn a bit more cash with one of the enhanced plans, they mostly cost a bundle up front, so be careful.

Now let’s suppose you join a PTC and it has 4 adverts. You purchase a membership and you get one thousand referrals. Every one of your own clicks gets you a cent and so does each one of your referrals’ clicks. So if you watch all 4 adverts and all of your referrals watch all 4 adverts, that’s a total of forty bucks. You would say that no, that doesn’t sound shabby. That would be a good amount of cash to get daily, right?

But, the terrible truth is, most PTC sites are frauds. They are actually pyramid schemes. A pyramid scheme is where people invest cash looking for more cash in return after some time, but the guy in charge merely disburses more cash to a few of the people and the others are left with nothing, or very little. For instance, if 10 folks each invest ten dollars, that sums up to a hundred bucks. The person who runs the scheme may pay out $15 to 4 members and keep the rest himself, leaving most of the people out of pocket. How they are able to get off with this is through getting people to become members and to obtain referrals (which, incidentally, are usually bots, not real people), then paying us money that others invest to pay for their own membership and subsequent referrals. Since most of the referrals may merely be bots, and thus non-paying, the money from watching ads isn’t going to cover all the pay-outs. Eventually, people are going to stop investing in the PTC program and the last individuals to invest lose out. If you’re one of the first people, you could earn some cash but it’s not worth risking.

I recommend you stay away from PTC sites. The only way you can earn even a small sum of cash is to be the head scammer or one of his buddies. Everybody else who sign up turns a loss. I don’t care for the odds, or the karma.
