Save Money With Alamo Car Rentals
An Alamo Car Rental is a smart way to get a car for short term use such as a vacation or driving around during a business trip. Because prolonged trips wear down a car, it may be a good idea to rent a car for long drives such as to another state. When promotions take place during certain seasons a car can be had for only $1 each day. That’s a fantastic deal.
Alamo started way back in 1974 in Florida. The company decided to specialize in personal leisure travel. Sunshine plus Disney equaled a large market for car renting. Alamo pioneered some of the more common car rental concepts of today. Unlimited miles, for example. Families on vacation don’t want to track miles or to pay extra when they go over a certain amount. Alamo was one of the first rental car companies to recognize this and come up with a solution.
Alamo was also one of the first to rent cars from a large plaza facility. In 1974 most rental companies served repeat business clients. There wasn’t a lot of walk up traffic. The vacation business is different because lots of people walk in to rent. Again Alamo responded, this time with facilities to quickly serve the masses. The goal was getting people in the car and off the lot quickly.
Alamo also came up with rental insurance and booking online. Alamo was the first rental company to provide low cost coverage for their cars, so people wouldn’t have to worry about accidents. And in 1995 Alamo provided the first opportunity renters had ever seen to book their rental on the Internet. It was another big first.
Those firsts really don’t matter to people looking to rent a car. Most major auto rental companies provide the same services. Reliable cars that don’t break the bank are what matters. That’s a fact of life with Alamo. A 24 car rental is as low as $19. No other company is any lower. Alamo has some of the best partnerships in the business so a savvy traveler can also earn airline miles and free hotel stays, as well as a lot of other perks by using an Alamo car rental.
Nobody imagined a market for vacation car rentals in 1974. What a difference a few decades makes for Alamo auto rental.
So if you need a car rental and your making a car rental comparisons make sure you consider Alamo.
